West Valley Detention Center was opened in 1991. The Facility can house up to 3,347 inmates, both male and female. Males are held on one side of the jail and females at the other. West Valley Detention Center Estimates they book in 50,000 to 60,000 inmates a year. An inmate will not be eligible for bail until he or she has been fully booked.
